Life is movement
Without movement there is no life, as movement is the symptom of life. Whether it be the gross physical movements of walking, running, jumping, singing, dancing, etc. or the subtle movements of thoughts, ideas, or emotions, all are symptoms of life.

Conscious movement is any movement which is carried out in accordance with our natural design.
Unconscious movement is ignorant of natural design, and consequently, is harmful to us. Living consciously therefore means choosing, moment by moment, to remain attentive to the Voice of the Body which is guiding us to live in harmony with our true nature, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. We do this by cultivating our awareness of movement in all these spheres, acknowledging where we are acting against our natural design, and then allowing the return to our natural state.

In this process the body itself is our guide. We experience life through our senses, which includes the mind, and through a deepening of our sensory awareness we can begin to experience and acknowledge the messages that are coming to us from within the body, which are ever guiding us towards greater ease of movement, peace of mind, and happiness of being.

The body is our constant companion through the journey of life.

The body is our constant companion through the journey of life.
This companionship is most often one-sided, where we simply use and manipulate the body to achieve our goals and desires, with little concern to the affect that doing so has on us. We rarely ever stop to consider what our bodies might be asking us, what they might be trying to tell us about ourselves and the choices we are making.

Within the body is an innate intelligence that is constantly guiding us towards our true nature, a state of being, characterised by ease, freedom, and happiness. This greater guiding intelligence speaks to us through the body, not in words, but through sensory experience. As we learn to live more consciously, we can attune to the voice of the body, and begin to access this constant direction and learn to live a life of greater connection to ourselves and to others, in cooperation with our true nature.
From the ways we use our bodies in simple everyday activities to more complex athletic and artistic activities, we can begin to discover greater ease, strength, and agility, free from pain and discomfort.

As we expand our understanding of ourselves, we begin to change the way we relate to ourselves, to others and to the world around us to experience greater peace of mind and happiness.
